Where is Smyrna Animal Hospital located?

Our veterinary hospital is located at 2445 South Cobb Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. We are near many of the landmarks that make our community unique. Known for the jonquil as its city flower, Smyrna offers easy access to outdoor destinations like Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and Little Kennesaw Mountain, as well as historic sites such as the William Root House in nearby Marietta. We are also conveniently located near Truist Park and the Atlanta Braves stadium, with easy access to the attractions and cityscape of downtown Atlanta. 

What are your office hours?

Our regular office hours allow us to provide convenient veterinary care for pets throughout the week. We are open 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. We are closed on Sunday.

Can I request veterinary products online?

Yes. For your convenience, we offer an Online Store so that you can order your pet’s necessities online. To order your pet’s medications online, you can also use our Refill form. All pet medications are reviewed and authorized by a veterinarian before being dispensed.

Emergency and Urgent Care

What should I do if my pet is having an emergency?

If your pet is experiencing an emergency or urgent health concern, contact us right away. We do provide Urgent Veterinary Care during business hours. If something happens after hours, we strongly suggest contacting a local 24/7 pet emergency clinic. 

Either way, your best bet is always to call ahead, so we can provide guidance and determine the best next steps. If you aren’t sure if your pet needs urgent care or can wait, call us at 770-436-2431 for advice. It’s always better to err on the side of caution.

What diagnostic services do you offer?

Our Pet Diagnostics services include Laboratory In-House testing and Digital Radiology to help diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions. In-house testing allows our veterinary team to obtain important information quickly, helping us create accurate treatment plans based on your pet’s individual needs.

Do you offer veterinary house calls?

Yes. By offering house calls for pets, we provide a convenient option for both people and pets. House calls can help reduce stress, eliminate travel time, and keep pets comfortable in their own homes with as little disruption as possible. House calls are not appropriate for every pet or situation, but we are happy to discuss the option. 

Do you provide dental care for dogs and cats?

Yes. Our Pet Dentistry services help support your pet’s oral health and overall wellness. Regular dental care can help identify problems such as periodontal disease, tooth damage, and other oral health concerns before they become more serious.

What types of surgery do you perform?

We provide General Surgery procedures for dogs and cats. Our surgeries always include careful preparation, thorough monitoring, pain management, and detailed aftercare information to help keep your pet safe and comfortable during recovery. Spay/Neuter surgeries are the most commonly performed procedure, but we also provide specialized surgeries, such as Orthopedic surgery for pets. 

Surgery is offered on a case-by-case basis. Our team evaluates each pet individually and creates treatment recommendations based on their condition, health history, and lifestyle.

What veterinary services do you offer?

We provide extensive Veterinary Care Services for dogs and cats, including Wellness & Vaccinations, Wellness Plans, Allergies & Dermatology, Nutrition & Weight Management, Dentistry, Diagnostics, Surgery, Behavioral Counseling, Boarding, Urgent Care, and Orthopedic Surgery. We also offer additional services such as Cardiology, Microchipping, House Calls, and Critical Care.
