Resolutions Inspired by Cats

Happy New Year! Are you setting goals for yourself for 2021? If so, why not take a cue from your feline buddy? Cats can actually be great role models! Read on as a local Marietta, GA veterinarian lists some resolutions inspired by kitties.

Get Lots Of Sleep

If kitties lived by a single golden rule, this would be probably be it. Of course, Fluffy can sleep up to 20 hours a day. That’s probably a bit much, but it is important to be sure you are getting enough rest.

Have Fun

Our feline pals are very playful, and they absolutely love pouncing and jumping. Take time to do the things you enjoy.

Have Meaningful Conversations

Some of our furry buddies are really very talkative. Fluffy sometimes even answers back when you speak to her. Cats also make great listeners. Take time for some meaningful conversations with those who are important to you … including your pets!

Stretch

Kitties like to stretch when they are sharpening their claws. They also stretch when they get up, when they settle down for a nap, while they’re walking across a room, before meals, after meals, and sometimes just at random. No matter what kind of shape you’re in, better flexibility is a great fitness goal for 2020!

Eat Well

Our feline fr have a reputation for being quite finicky eaters. Fluffy does turn her cute little nose up at anything that seems even slightly off. Make sure both you and your cat are eating nourishing, healthy foods.

Look Your Best

Did you know that cats spend as much as a third of their waking time grooming themselves? This may be a bit much for humans. However, it is important to look clean and well-groomed.

Soak Up Some Sun

Kitties love sprawling out in sunbeams. Fluffy always looks adorable content when she is charging her catteries. Take a cue from your furball, and get outside this year.

Show Your Love

Cats can be very affectionate, and often love to snuggle with their humans. Spend some quality time with your loved ones!

Be Curious

Fluffy is very inquisitive and curious, which is always cute to see. Learn a new hobby this year, or take a class in something that interests you.
