Fido’s New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe, but 2019 is behind us. Today, many people are focusing on the new year, and making resolutions. Your canine pal will stay faithfully at your side as you strive to meet your new goals. But if Fido could list his resolutions, what do you think they would be? A local Marietta, GA vet lists some of Fido’s 2020 goals below.

Score Lots of Treats

Our canine buddies are very, very fond of food. Fido may spend a chunk of time working on that adorable expression that is so effective at getting us to fork over yummy treats. It’s fine to give your furry friend some snacks, but don’t overindulge him.

Cats are probably the champions when it comes to napping, but Fido is no slouch here, either. Dogs spend about half of their time sleeping, on average. Help your furry friend make this goal by getting him a comfy new bed!

Get Lots Of Scritches

Dogs are very affectionate, and many of them absolutely love getting petted. Indulge your pup’s adorable requests for belly rubs and ear scritches!

Have Adventures

Man’s Best Friend is both curious and active, and he loves going to new places. Keep Fido’s tail wagging by taking him to some new parks and trails this year!

Playing is of course really fun for Fido, but it’s also beneficial to him, both physically and mentally. Try to play with your pet every day. This will be good for you both!

Get My Bed Back From The Cat

Sorry, Fido: we really can’t help you with this one. Good luck, buddy!

Be A Good Boy

There are many things to love about dogs, but one thing that is really great about them is the fact that they strive to please their humans. Fido is always extra adorable when he gets that happy expression dogs get when they’re being praised!

Spend Time with the Human

At the end of the day, Fido’s biggest wish for 2020 would probably be to spend as much time with you as possible. Pay attention to your canine companion every day. Time spent with dogs is always precious!
